Ken French is the newest VCAM staffer! You may have seen him out in the field covering local government meetings, or around the studio teaching workshops and helping out producers. Or you might know him from his short films or his series Ken French Presents: Music in VermontGet to know Ken with these 5 Qs:

1. If there were a movie about your life, who would play you?

Patrick Stewart.

2. What is your fav piece of VCAM tech gear and why?

The Holodeck (a.k.a. the TriCaster). Both let you put someone in a completely artificial environment.

3. What is the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently?

I put my friend Michael in the Holodeck and made him swim around in an underwater sea of bubbles. https://youtu.be/XblmeipKH5I

4. Tell us something we might not know (a factoid that you have retained for no particular reason).

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a new gas powered lawn mower produces as much volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides emissions air pollution in one hour of operation as 11 new cars each being driven for one hour.

5. If you had to put your life bio into one run-on sentence, what would you say?

Ken discovered at an early age that he likes plugging things in, especially when the plugged-in things help him to create a story or play a song and he really doesn’t like run-on sentences with a few exceptions like in the Lord of the Rings.
