PRODUCER AND HOST: Mark Hage
CO-PRODUCER AND TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: Danny Weiss

This edition of Salaam Shalom: Report on Palestine/Israel is bookended by two presentations featuring Israeli-Jewish activists: Hagai El-Ad, the executive director of B’Tselem, the prominent Israeli human rights organization, and David Sheen, an anti-racism/anti-occupation activist.

El-Ad recently drew condemnation from Israel's prime minister and a treason charge from a member of Israel’s Labor Party for speaking critically of the Jewish state at the United Nations Security Council on Oct. 14, where he called on the international body to intervene decisively to end Israel’s occupation and illegal settlement regime. The title of this program is borrowed from statements El-Ad made on Oct. 14 in New York.

For many years, David Sheen has been documenting the manifestations and crimes of Jewish supremacy in Israel and the country’s race wars against non-Jews. On this episode, we continue a series of lectures by Sheen, this one examining Israeli-Jewish persecution of African refugees.

This program also features a 25-minute documentary produced and narrated by investigative journalist Abby Martin for Telesur’s The Empire Files. It is a hard-hitting expose of Israeli colonization, its fanatical settlers, and the devastating consequences of Israel’s settlement enterprise for Palestinians and their communities in the West Bank. This is the second documentary from Martin after a recent trip to occupied Palestine. We aired the first one on episode 278; we will bring you the third and final one on a future show.
