Kay interviews Jesse Bridges, the new CEO of the United Way of Northwest Vermont, and Nancy Mathews, Chair of the Community Campaign for the United Way. They talk about the many ways that the United Way and it's agencies work to make our part of Vermont "the best place to live, work and play."

They discuss the new strategic priorities of the United Way, which include substance abuse, mental health, advancing employment, supporting families and meeting the basic needs of housing, hunger, transportation, and health care for the folks in our community.

The United Way of Northwest Vermont campaign begins in September this year and they hope to raise at least $2.8 million dollars to address these needs.

Produced with facilities provided by Vermont Community Access Media (VCAM).
