5 Qs with a VCAM Field Producer & Production Tech, Wendy Erikson

1. If there was a movie about your life, who would play you?

Well I guess I might have to say Helen Hunt might be a possibility.  If she was unwilling, maybe the Pink Panther since hIs antics have always made me laugh.

2. What is your fav piece of VCAM tech gear & why?

I am excited to try the equipment at VCAM but haven't had the chance yet.  I am anxious to take out a DSLR camera and I think that the drone could be a lot of fun.

3. What is the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently?

The funniest thing that happened to me recently is a typical Vermont-small world- experience.  I rented my house out to a woman out of state on AIR BnB.  She emailed me to say that after she showed the listing to her UVM student daughter, her daughter replied, 'Yes, she had been there before at a party' given by my son.  You just never know how parents find out these things!

4. Tell us something we might not know (a factoid that you have retained for no particular reason).

I have a talent for remembering people's birthdays...like forever.  This was kind of a cool trait until it was made obsolete by Facebook. Now I wish I could free up the memory space.

5. If you had to put your life bio into one run-on sentence, what would you say?

I was born some time ago in the Virgin Islands and people always ask why am I here...but I love Vermont and especially love to ski so I have learned to love winter as well and I was really happy to raise my three children here in the country although they often wished they had grown up in a suburban development so I guess the grass is always greener...
