Host: Mark Hage

This edition of Salaam Shalom: Report on Palestine/Israel takes its name from a documentary produced by Al Jazeera featuring Eyal Weizman, an Israeli-Jewish activist, writer, and radical architect.  Weizman documents how architecture and different methods controlling space are employed by Israel to occupy and colonize Palestinian lands and to dominate their lives. It is a brilliant expose and analysis. This edition also features a TED talk by journalist Harry Fear, who has reported on Gaza for several years. The Globalized Heart is an eloquent presentation on the suffering and dignity of the Palestinian people and why Fears feels it is imperative that human beings respond with compassion and resolve to suffering everywhere. The program will also offer shorter reports on Gaza and BDS, including a short film titled This Part of My Life is Called: Running which is a compilation of media clips from this summer’s 51 days of slaughter in Gaza.
