A public meeting proposing the sinking of the Ferry Adirondack into Lake Champlain was held at the Burlington Police Departments Community Room was held on Thursday, March 5, from 7 pm - 8 :30 pm.  The proposal would make the Ferry Adirondack into a reef in Lake Champlain, and it would become part of the Vermont Underwater Historic Preserve.

The following information was provided by the State of Vermont, Waterfront Diving Center, and the Lake Champlain Ferry Company

We would like to notify you of an exciting project that is being proposed for Lake Champlain. This project is a collaboration between Lake Champlain Transportation Company and the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. It involves adding the Ferry Adirondack to the Vermont Underwater Historic Preserve. A public meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the Community Room at the Burlington Police Department located at 1 North Avenue in Burlington. If you have questions, or concerns, please plan to attend this meeting.
