Today is Community Media Day!
Community Media Day is an annual celebration of voices that brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all individuals to have their voices heard. Did you know that Vermont has 25 Community Media Centers where diverse populations access 21st-century media tools to tell their stories, hear others’ stories, and create new stories together? VCAM is just one of many around the state.
You can learn more about our colleagues and all that we offer by visiting the Vermont Access Network's website. We hope that you will all help us recognize the great importance of media literacy, free speech, civic engagement, government transparency, and public dialogue by visiting your local media access center real soon.
Three cheers for community media!
