Our story begins with myself, Joey, sitting at my desk on a regular Tuesday afternoon. While typing away on something assuredly important, I received a surprising email from LoyalT Management on behalf of the band Lord Huron.
Wait, the Lord Huron? A band I've known and loved for years? It couldn't be.
But it was.
To celebrate the release of their new album, Vide Noir, the band collaborated with production company The Work Inc. to create a 30-minute non-commercial special just for public access stations.
Showcasing the whacky and wonderful world that serves as the inspiration for the album's departure from their regular, earth-toned sound, Vide Noir is a journey through the old-school, deep and dark reaches of public access television . . . and the possibilities that come with overusing mind ointment.
Interspersed throughout the show are snippets of the band's new songs, performed out of the dreamy "Whispering Pines" studio.
Don't miss this chance to view a limited run of one of the weirdest and most exciting things to play on your local Public Access channel. Vide Noir can be viewed for two weeks, starting Monday 4/16, at the following times:
- Mondays @ 12:30 PM
- Wednesdays @ 4:30 AM
- Fridays @ 5:30 PM
- Sundays @ 10:30 PM
